Southern Forests Ltd commits to adhere to any principles and criteria related to Forest Certification Policies and Standards.

Southern Forests Ltd considers that, by complying with any Forest Certification Policies and Standards that

  • forests are properly managed form an ecological perspective

  • forests generate social benefits

  • and forests are economically viable

Stakeholders

Interested stakeholders refer to groups and individuals with environmental, economic, social, and/or cultural interests in managing the specified forest area.

Affected stakeholders are individuals or groups who are directly influenced by the activities of the enterprise.

Southern Forests will actively engage with stakeholders and interested parties to incorporate their perspectives into forest management planning, foster positive community relationships, and enhance awareness and understanding of our operations.

Southern Forests Ltd has a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption. Southern Forests Ltd (SFL) is committed to the principles of the Forest Certification Scheme and will uphold the certification and promote it. SFL undertakes to make the commitment to this policy widely known to contractors, employees and all persons associated with our Company Forest Management and Operations.

This Forest Management Plan is intended to provide Ingka NZ stakeholders with an overview of how we manage the Southern Forest Estate and operations considering environmental, economic, social, and cultural factors

This Forest Management Plan details the monitoring process in accordance with the forest certification scheme
